Matamoros - New Entry at Number 1

(November 12, 2011)

Frank released Matamoros as the 2nd single from the highly acclaimed album; Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow

Initial notification from Hotdisc:

With an extremely high rating British singer Frank Jennings sweeps to the top of the Hotdisc chart from nowhere to land his first number 1. The veteran Brit who came to fame in the late 1970s with multiple appearances as winner of the ground-breaking "Opportunity Knocks" programme attracted a record deal with EMI from which he won a gold disc for one of his songs being on a hit country compilation album. He has been out of the scene for a number of years but early in 2011 he recorded a new album from which his first single, "Three Days", reached the Top 5 in the main Hotdisc chart and number 1 in the British & Irish Top 10. But now he goes one better with a debut on both listings with the old Billy Walker hit.

You can click to listen to two of the three Hotdisc shows from our website at - the new Hotdisc Top 40 show presented by Stuart Cameron and Jackie Storrar's Hotdisc Half Hour (from CMR Nashville), while Phil Butler's British & Irish Top 10 Show on goes out every Monday at 8pm - repeated on Tuesdays at 4pm.
